Orphans in Corona when they turn 23 and get Rs 10 lakh from 18 years.

The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss steps to be taken in support of children who have lost their parents due to Kovid. The Prime Minister announced a number of benefits for children affected by the current epidemic of Covid. Announcing the move, the Prime Minister stressed that children represent the future of the country.

And the country will do its utmost for the cooperation and protection of these children so that they can develop as strong citizens and have a bright future. The Prime Minister said that it was our duty as a society to take care of the children in these difficult times and hope for a bright future in them. The PM takes care of all children who have lost their parents or any of them or the legal guardians who adopt themCare will be taken under the Children Scheme. He added that the announced measures would be possible only if the PM Carrefour Fund, which is cooperating in the fight against Corona in India, made a major contribution.

Fixed deposit in children’s name: 

➡️PM Cares will contribute to a special scheme to ensure that every child gets Rs 10 lakh when he turns 18. Fund:

➡️ It will be used as a monthly financial aid / instinct from the age of 18 for the next five years to meet the individual needs of the child for higher education and

➡️ When a child reaches the age of 23, he will be given a fixed amount to meet his personal and professional needs. 

➡️Schooling: For children under 10 years of age

➡️The child will be admitted to the nearest Kendriya Vidyalaya or private school as a day scholar.

➡️ If the child is admitted to a private school, his fees will be paid from PM Care under RTE.

➡️ In addition, PM Cares will pay for children’s uniforms, textbooks and notebooks.

Education: For 11-18 year olds

➡️The child will be admitted to a central government residential school like Sainik School or Navodaya Vidyalaya.

➡️ If the child continues to live with his / her parents / grandparents or family, he / she will be admitted to the nearest Kendriya Vidyalaya or private school as a day scholar.

➡️If a child is admitted to a private school, his / her fees will be paid by PM Cares under RTE. 

➡️In addition, PM Cares will pay for the child’s uniform, textbook and notebook.

Collaboration for higher education: 

➡️Under the existing rules of educational loan the child will be helped to get a loan for vocational course or higher education. The interest on this loan will be paid by PM Care.

➡️Alternatively, such a child will be given a scholarship equal to the tuition fee or fees for undergraduate courses or fees for vocational courses under various schemes of the Central Government and the State Government. Children who do not qualify for the existing scholarship will be given the same scholarship by PM Care.

Health insurance :

➡️All children will get the benefit of health insurance cover of Rs. 1 lakh under Ayushman Bharat (PM-Jai) scheme.

➡️The amount of health insurance for these children will be paid by PM Care, until they turn 18 years old.
