In the last three hours, 2,31 new cases have been reported while a total of eight deaths have been reported in Surat, including three in Ahmedabad. There are now 4.5 active cases in Gujarat while 202 patients are on ventilator. Exactly one week ago, 6,000 active cases were reported in Gujarat.Thus, the number of active cases in the state has doubled in 7 days. Gujarat ranks 10th among the states with the most active cases in the country. The state currently has 2,7,8 cases of corona while the total death toll is 4.5. Of these, 4,31 cases were reported in April alone while 8 deaths were reported. An average of 4 people are currently infected with corona every hour in the state.
During the last 24 hours, a total of 3088 new cases have been reported in 4 rural areas in Ahmedabad city. Thus, the number of corona cases in Ahmedabad is now 5,613. In Surat city, 1,15 new cases were reported with 4 in 1,20-rural areas. Thus, the number of Koro cases in Surat is now 4.5. In Vadodara city 3 new cases with 410 have been reported in 3 villages, while in Rajkot city 4 new cases with 212 have been reported in rural areas.
Elsewhere in the state, where more cases of corona have been reported in the last four hours, Jamnagar city has 4 out of 12 villages in Jamnagar, 6 in Mehsana, 4 in Mehsana, 4 in Bharuch, 114 in Bhavnagar city, 14 in 21 rural areas, 14 in Banaskantha, 13 in Navsari, 14 in Patan and 14 in Gandhinagar.
